At the core of JQ Recycling's data destruction process is our electronic media shredding services, which can be performed onsite at the customer's premises or in our secure, access controlled facilites.

page-image5 JQ Recycling utilizes an industrial shredder to chip, mince and shred hard drives, cell phones, tapes, and other data storage devices into tiny, inaccessible fragments. Our system is completely self-sufficient, utilizing power from our secure service truck's and trailer's mounted generator, requiring no use of any facilities resources to operate.

As critical as the shredding machine itself are the secure, meticulous and documented processes to get hard drives from your facilities to the machine and disposing of the shredded material afterwards. Over the last decade, JQ Recycling has invested in a proven, end-to-end process that provides protection and accountability through the entire chain of custody of your IT assets.

Secure Facilities

Access to our shredding facilities is controlled, monitored and under 24-hour video surveillance. Our facilities comply with SCIF regulations. Depending on our client's requirements, premises can be completely locked down. While shredding hard drives, the process can be overseen by our customers, recorded to DVD, monitored remotely via a dedicated IP address or overseen and verified by personnel with a secret-level security clearance.

The Secure Process Begins

JQ Recycling's professionally trained certified staff members begin the process at the client's location.

  • Scan and inventory, based upon serial number, all electronics slated for destruction or recycling to establish a chain of custody.
  • Record all serial numbers of processed and destroyed items for audit and accountability purposes
  • Load all materials to be securely transported in a JQ Recyling GPS-traceable trucks and trailers

Once a client's electronic are brought to one of JQ Reycling's processing facilities:

  • A client-approved, Zero Landfill recycling plan is then executed.
  • A full inventory list is then provided to each client.
  • A Certificate of Destruction, a nationally recognized legal document of performane is seigned by JQ Recycling's officer and proveded to each client.
