DEGAUSSING - When data
Wiping just isn't enough yet

Degaussing

Another Element of Data Destruction

Degaussing is the process of totally erasing data by reducing or eliminating an unwated magnetic field (information) stored on tape and disk media. A degausser is a machine that changes the magnetic domain (where the data is stored) of magnetic data storage devices. When a degausser is applied to magnetic domains the information is scrambled into random patters, making the data stored in the magnetic domain unreadable. The correct use of degausser will ensure that information is no longer retreivable.

TS-1 Degausser - NSA Approved

Our NSA approved is used for optimum data destruction. The TS-1 uses a proven solid- state technology to generate a high-powered erasure field that's far superior to the fields produced by the read/write heads in hard drives and tape drives. The 20,000-gauss power magnetically erases a wide selection of high-coercivity hard drives and tapes ensuring top-secret classified data can never be recovered. The TS-1 Degausser meets Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Defense (DOD) requirements for purging classified information.
